Hi, it is again another weekend for Soul Seeking as well as recapturing things done in the past week! So die, die must writing something for everyone lah! Hoho!
Here it goes! Could be a lengthy one again! Hehe!
There was this consultant speaking to a group of financial consultants of an insurance company. He asked them two questions:
1. Do you know what you are doing now?
2. Do you know what type of platform you are having?
Although the answers to these questions are relatively simple, he was very surprised to be unable to be given the correct answers..
The first answer is: To manage my own business.
As the second question was focused on insurance industry, the answer consists of 3 parts:
1. To be an agent for a strong branded product
2. To have a peace of mind for the service to be provided to the clients
3. All the resources are at my service
Incidentally, these three factors are the signficant characteristics of this company, or its advantageous edge over its competitors but these financial cionsultants were not able to answer them ( or rather put in other way that these people did not know how to make use of their advantages).
He strongly believed that doing insurance should be one's own business. Regardless of how much effort the insurance company has put in to manage its agents, be it in the field of training, motivation, competitions, testimonies, etc, and many various methods, the managing of insurance is still to be the financial consultant 's own business.
As can be seen, the management personnels in an Insurance company are always seen as holding a whip and through various means and planning have been whipping them. This has led to these people to be placed in a whirlpool from the very beginning and have no opportunity to have a cool and clear mind.
Insurance, being a business needs to be managed and management depend on intelligence, professionalism, also required are proper sense and coolness. Minding business involves management and service, but whether it is management or service, you will need to develop the business spirit. Respecting your business is the root, technicalities are skills, while service is business moral, and your income should be the rewards.
So doing insurance is minding your own business. This is quite similar to making sales of health products or cosmetics. Because of its peculiarity of the insurance products, the clients need to pay long term premiums, and thus they will have to rely on the stability of the brand as well as the trustworthiness and the standard of the service. As such, it is very necessary to look at the correct product, its service platform and then go out and sell.
As financial consultant selling insurance plans, you will only let the company "controls" you, but deep in your mind you will have to remember and acknowledge that you are minding your own business, and this is the key point! For expansion of the business, you do not need to rely on encouragements, competitions or promotion activities, but that you will manage the business for "you have chosen to sell insurance!". So three to five years down the road, there will be another one more "BOSS" in the industry!
If you have read the book on "Rich Dad, Poor Dad" by Mr. Robert Kiyosaki, you will recollect that he has also said such thing! It is very important for everyone of us to have this mindset and manage your own business correctly! You will be what you have done to yourself!
I strongly believe that we are already having all these favourable factors. So three to five years down the road, we should have another few "Bosses" from our family! Keke! (But with a serious face!)

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Ever thought of not seeking any help from other people? It is pretty difficult! Everything or help can be sought from other people, but not with MONEY! When it comes to talking about help for MONEY, the relation will sour up, rigidified, becomes remote or even dead.
Let us look at on what matter will one cry for help for MONEY.
Generally speaking, when buying a house will need money but it isn't urgent so there is no necessity to borrow money. Buying a car is neither urgent especially when petrol prices are increasing rapidly. Preparation for marriage will need money but as it is a happy matter, friends and relatives will be quite glad to chip in and so the matter could probably solve by itself.
So considering all these, there are only few situations whereby people will ask the help for MONEY. One is when one is robbed unfortunately and completely in a foreign country and only left with a dear life. He will be completely helpless but will require MONEY urgently, hoping to meet someone who can give him some money and to send him home. Is there such person in existence?? As long you are not a very notorious person, probably people will still extend their help to chip in for some cash. However, for the purpose to return home, then it is your own PASAR! The second one is to meet with an accident regardless of the time and place, especially at the verge of death and great pain, Hospitalization bills, rescue fees can be exorbitant! Where to find so much MONEY????
So going around to look for MONEY here and there just to make the figures meet, and the results will be cold eyes, cold face, cold doors and cold shoulders! This will make one to awake and realise and swear that if one were to strike rich, he will have to purchase sufficient insurance!!
This is what we mean by "You will only drop tears when you see the coffin"!
If time can be tuned back, then that person who has made the swearing would have bought sufficient insurance, and any of the abovementioned difficult tasks will be easily solved. For example, if met with robbery, even without any pants, he can always call on the travel insurance company and he will be comfortably sent back home. Another example if he were to meet with an accident, by dialling the Emergency number, all the medical personnel as well as the hospital and doctor will be there to receive and treat him with smiling faces. These would have alleviated him and to be treated like king!
There is always a position for live and that depends how one position himself. MONEY, too has its position, and if wrongly placed, its value will be cheap. For example if you put it into the bank to earn the miserable little interest, (especially when the interest rates keep falling) you will be punished. If you put the money into the stock market, your heartbeat will move like a Roller Coaster and the chance of having illness is very great. If you were to hoard the money under the pillow, you will be worried about robbery and fire!
So it is only right for you to invest with your capital correctly and that is to BUY INSURANCE!! Haha!

La KOPI
Congratulations to those who had attended the session to la kopi with Philip this morning. Hahah!
Were you able to order the things to your wish? Hehe!
You may thought that this is just a la kopi session, but I believe Philip is getting closer to all of you to have a better assessment of you people! Hoho!
Hope that you are able to pick up something from him and once again, CONGRATULATIONS, Guys!!!

GIVE HELP ONLY WHEN IT IS NEEDED!
This morning when I left the carpark at about 7.00 am, I saw a car with its front lights glaring into the air. So down in the heart I was thinking "OMG, this driver will have his car battery flat in no time if he had parked it there since midnight!"
Then in the afternoon at about 12.30pm when I was back, AN AA service car was there and there I found my neighbour talking to the repairman. Out of good will, I greeted my neighbour and informed him that his car's front lights were on the whole night and that could caused his battery to be flat. To my surprise, he was laughing aloud and then told me that by doing so, I have caused him to lose S$140 as the repairman has just agreed to replace for him a new battery free of charge as the battery is still under warranty. OMG, what have I done to this dear neighbour! If I had not talked to him, things would not have ended in such awkward way!
The moral of the story is :
If it is possible, always try to find out the situation before offering help, otherwise it could turn out to be more disasterous than desired. Haha!
